Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by Panjab University, Chandigarh.


Eligibility Criteria

A candidate, who has passed the 10+2 class examination from Panjab School Education Board or other recognized Board/ University, shall be eligible to seek admission to B.A-I. The admission to this class shall be made according to Panjab University admission rules.
- Eligibility for Compartment Candidates of +2 Examinations for Admission to B.AI
A candidate who has been placed under compartment is eligible for admission to B.A course if he/she fulfills the following conditions :
1. His/her name figures in the list of eligible candidates.
2. He/she should have been placed in the compartment of one subject only.
3. A candidate who has been placed under compartment/ re-appears in one subject only with at least 20% marks in the subject in which he/she has been placed under compartment.20% implies theory and practically taken together.
4. He/she should have obtained the requisite percentage of marks in the aggregate of the examination as laid down in the relevant regulations.
5. Provided that a candidate joining the B.A 1st-year class should have obtained at least 33% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects( including the subject of the compartment) taken up by him/her at the +2 examination.
