Paramekkavu College of Arts and Science, Thrissur, is a perennial institution that started its mission in the academic year 2013-2014. Located in the culturally alive city of Thrissur, Kerala, this affiliated college has aptly carved a niche for itself in the region’s educational system. Situated in just 10 acres of land, the college has 9 courses into six degree programs for 561 students enrolled. The college has the strength of 28 committed teaching staffs, and we keep student-teacher ratios to a minimum, which are very essential for students as far as quality education is concerned.
The college boasts itself for trying to deliver the following to its students in their learning process. The campus has a fully equipped library that provides recorded information for the learners who are willing to study. With an understanding of the rising trend of the digital environment, Paramekkavu College offers sound IT facilities that enable the students to adapt to the forthcoming high-tech future. Thrissur, Paramekkavu College of Arts and Science, which is an affiliate college, conducts various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The institution has a very simple admission process in order to deliver quality education to all qualifying applicants. There are 9 full-time courses available under several different disciplines like Commerce, Computer Applications, Management, and Arts.
Admission eligibility requirements differ with the opted programme. In general, for undergraduate programmes, students must have passed their 10+2 from a recognized board. For postgraduation programmes like M.Com in Marketing, students should have passed their respective bachelor's degree.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Com Programmes:
Paramekkavu College provides three courses in B.Com: B.Com Finance (60 seats), B.Com Computer Applications (40 seats), and B.Com Cooperation (40 seats). The students get admission in the above programs through the marks in the 10+2 exam with preference towards Commerce and Math marks. Applicants must have passed Commerce or comparable subjects at the higher secondary stage.
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration):
The college has a BBA program with 30 seats. Admission is given on the basis of the candidate's performance in the 10+2 examination, and preference is given to those students who have done Commerce or Business Studies.
B.Sc Computer Science:
This course has an intake of 30 students. Eligibility criteria are passing 10+2 with Mathematics as a mandatory subject. Selection is made on the basis of marks secured in Mathematics and overall performance in the qualifying exam.
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications):
There are 24 seats in the BCA course. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject can apply. Candidates are admitted on the basis of marks scored in Mathematics and overall performance in the qualifying examination.
B.Sc Psychology and BA English Literature and Language:
Both these courses have an intake capacity of 24 students per course. The admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in the concerned subjects in the 10+2 examination.
M.Com Marketing:
It is a postgraduate course and has 15 seats. Candidates should have passed B.Com or equivalent course. The admissions are usually made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying degree and entrance exam or interview, if any, held by the college or affiliating university.
I personally did not have a good experience at the college. They gave less importance to extra curricular activities and no importance at all to placements or internships for students. The management was also not professional at times.
