1) the the college is located in the heart of the city where in the space is limited and so is the infrastructure and campus is limited the facilities and equipment are are bypass adequate (2) the classroom has better sitting arrangement and the essential equipments to perform experiment are available in Laboratories. the library is spacious but the staff is inefficient to maintain silence. sports facility is not good and no hostel facility. Poor Canteen.
The only good thing about my college is academics. high focus is given on studying and regular lectures. I am studying Mechanical Engineering and the quality of teaching is good. the curriculum is not fully updated but ok to meet industry requirement. the activities organised by MESA like guest lecture give students immense practical knowledge and make them job ready.
The overall placement of college is satisfying but not for core sector like mechanical Electrical. around 20% of students may be placed and the highest salary offered last year was 5.25 to a mechanical student . the average salary could range anywhere about 10k to 20k in hand or or up 2-3 lpa CTC. The college is supportive in placement and TPO is good and the placement process is okay.
Being in the heart of the pune city the total expense is costly and tution fee could range around 55k for OBC student and 95k for open student per year and average expenditure of 1lac per year for living in pune. So approx 2 lpa for 4 year of engineering. While we get to learn so many thing in this 4 years but the return on investment by the placements offered is not encouraging
Well frankly the the campus is very small and very limited parking space which is also chargeable for students. the good feature is you are staying in the main city. the teachers staff and students are very supportive and the location is very safe and could very well handle emergencies.
As an alumni of this college I would like to say that there are some pros and cons to every college and no college is perfect. Rather than placement focus on value addition to yourself in these 4 years.
The college's infrastructure is fairly good. The college is an old one and lacks modern architecture and interior. The plus point of the college is that it is situated in Shivaji Nagar ,the heart of Pune city. Therefore there are no problems of transportation here. The classrooms are quite good. Also the labs are maintained too.The only drawback is that the college does not provide any ground facilities within the college and more stress is given on attendance then extra-curricular activities.
Academics of this college is really good. A minimum attendance of 75% is compulsory. Also if a student has an attendance below 60% he/she is made to pay a fine of 5000 rs. The college is pretty strict for their attendance. The quality of teaching is no doubt good and there are many experienced teachers here. The college also prepares the students for real life industry problems as well and the study is indeed job-ready.
The placements of the college are good. The average salary offered is 3-4 lakhs per annum. The computer and IT department are offered better salaries than ENTC department. Also a few ENTC students also get a salary of 6-7 lakhs per annum. Many students also choose to do Master in Science(MS) after their degree or M.tech as well.
The college fees is around 3.96 lakhs for the 4 year course and is average ,not too high neither too less. And i think that the fees is quite reasonable compared to the quality of education received here ,which is very good.
The campus life of the college is real fun. There is a cultural event called "Spandan" which is celebrated with great enthusiasm .The college days like the saree and tie day, Traditional day, miss-match day are celebrated with great fun here. Students from all colleges in pune visit our college during the cultural fest.Their are also various delicious food stalls during the fest as well which adds to its mesmerizing beauty.
I think the college is quite a wonderful place and i highly recommend it.
The campus has a really good infrastructure and the best part being that it is situated in the heart of the Pune city! The college was established in 1999 and is one of the top 10 colleges in Pune. Also the college is given rank 78 all over India by Times 2019.The classrooms are quite good and sports is always given a big boost here. Also the labs are well-maintained. Wifi is available everywhere but not anywhere in the campus.
Academics of this college is good. The teachers are very supportive and whenever you go to tham with your queries and doubts they will definately solve them for you. Also the quality of teaching is good and there are many experienced teachers who are profficient in their respective fields. The curriculum is according to the Savitribai Phule university and is not that up-do-date, some modifications must be made to make students job-ready.
The placements of the college are fairly good not great tho, almost 70-80% students are placed every year and the annual average salary offered is 3-4 lakhs. Also a few get salary of 8 lakhs per annum too. Last year some student also got a salary of 30lakh from a japanese company. Top recruitiing companies like Persistant ,TCS and Zensar visit the college for campus interviews.
I am persuing Computer Engineering here and my 4 year course fees is Rs 3.96 lakhs . The fees is not too much as compared to the quality of education we receive here, so the money is totally worth it. Also there are fee concessions for students who can't afford to pay this huge amount.
The campus life of the college is really fun! The sports of the college is noteworthy and cricket team is one of the best teams here and wins many competitions. I am in the football team and I practice daily and we participate in competitons like COEP's Zest and many more. Also the college being situated in Shivaji-Nagar, the heart of pune transport facilities are excellent and most of my female friends also come to the college by public transport and is completely safe ,no need to worry.
Overrall i think this college has helped me persue my studies along with my passion for football, and i can't thank the college enough for the same.

Hello,
Yes, P.E.S. Modern College of Engineering is a good choice for the ENTC branch only if you are interested in higher studies in the nearby future. But, if you are more focused on placements in this branch then this is not the right option for you because the placements in this college in the ENTC branch are not so good.
Hope this has cleared your doubts. Thank you.
Hello,
P.E.S Modern College of Engineering, Pune is a good college for the ENTC branch. But it seems you are more focused on placement. So, placements in this college are not so good. So, if you want to join the ENTC branch and want good placements, this is not the college. You should choose some other college and go ahead with it.
Hope this has cleared your doubts. All the best.
