The PPG College of Education in Gadag is a very good teacher education institute. The admission procedure of the college is conducted on a merit basis as per the procedure set by the state government, the UT Administration, and the related university therefrom. PPG College of Education is also sanctioned by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), which assesses the quality standards in teacher education.

Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Ed: PPG College of Education, Gadag, conducts a B.Ed program with an approved intake of 100 students. Admission to the B.Ed will be granted on a merit basis according to the marks attained in the qualifying examination and/or marks obtained in the entrance examinations. Selection will be made as per the guidelines of state government and the affiliated university. An eligible candidate for B.Ed must hold a graduate degree in a relevant subject area.
D.El.Ed: The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) program is run by PPG College of Education, Gadag, with the approved strength of 50 students. Admission for the D.El.Ed program shall be on merit concerning the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination. The selection criteria are in line with the policies of the state government and UT Administration. Candidates who have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) are generally eligible to apply for D.El.Ed programs.
