General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year and six-month full-time diploma program offered by The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).


Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates for admission to GNM should have passed 10+2 with English as one subject and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board.
  • Candidates are eligible with registered ANM with pass mark
  • Candidates 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  • Candidates minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December 2022). The upper age limit is 35 years.
  • Candidates shall be medically fit for the course.
