Application Process

Generally, the application procedure at Punjab College of Education, Fatehgarh Sahib, varies for each program but mostly includes the following:

1. For B.Ed:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed :  The Punjab College of Education has a sanctioned intake of 200 seats for the B.Ed. program. This admission process adopted involved a common entrance test of one of the three selected universities, after which a centralized counselling takes place. 85% of total seats will be held for students having their domiciles in Punjab, while 15% will be reserved for other states. 15% of the seats within the Punjab quota fall under management quota.

D.El.Ed:  The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) program has seats for 100 students. The admissions will be on merit based on marks in the qualifying examination. The college may also consider the scores of examination conducted by the college for admission or follow any other selection process as per the government norms of the state or UT administration.

M.Ed: The Master of Education (M.Ed) program has an intake of 50 seats. The selection is based on merit with marks obtained during the qualifying examination, provided that entrance examination scores or other selection criteria as prescribed by the state government, university or UT administration are also considered.
