Raizada Dharam Das Institute of Education and Technology, Meerut, is an NCTE recognized affiliated college. The institute aims to prepare the future generation of teachers and has a merit-based process of admission in accordance with the norms of the state government, U.T. administration, and the affiliated university.

The institute offers two post-specialized teaching courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed, with a total student intake of 242. Admission is made to enroll the top-performing candidates based on their academic merit and, in some cases, entrance test. The institute has a focused attitude towards teacher training with a 12-member teaching faculty of senior professionals that gives one-on-one attention to students.

Application Process

Raizada Dharam Das Institute of Education and Technology, Meerut, has an appropriate stabilized application process for both B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses:

1. Eligibility Verification: Candidates should verify that they qualify for the eligibility criteria laid down by the institute and the concerned university for the concerned courses.

2. Application Form: Students who wish to join must obtain and complete the application form. 

3. Document Submission: With the completed application form, applicants must also submit all the documents required, which usually are:

• Qualifying exam mark sheets
• Original ID proof
• Recent passport-sized photographs
• Any other certificates or documents as required by the institute

4. Introduction Test: For such programs where an introduction test is required, the candidates are required to appear for the test according to the schedule declared by the institute or the university to which the institute is affiliated.

5. Merit List: Merit list is prepared on the basis of performance in the entrance test and/or qualifying test.

6. Counseling and Seat Allotment: Short-listed candidates can be summoned for a counseling session where seats are allocated on a merit-cum-availability basis.

7. Payment of Fees: Short-listed candidates are asked to pay the fee as fixed to finalize their admission.

8. Document Verification: Verification of all documents received by the institute will be done. Students are requested to ensure that all the given information is correct and authentic.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed: Raizada Dharam Das Institute of Education and Technology has 100 seats under its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course. Admission to B.Ed is on merit basis by taking into account marks secured in the qualification examination and/or an entrance exam performance. The medium of teaching under this course is Urdu. It is a two-year residential teachers' training course.

D.El.Ed: The D.El.Ed program with an admission capacity of 50 seats works on the merit selection process, and the selection is based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination and/or entry test. Similar to the B.Ed program, the instruction medium for D.El.Ed is also Urdu. The program is designed to complete within two years, with the aim of developing effective teachers for elementary education.
