Degree-wise Admission Process
B.A. Programs: Several subjects such as Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, Music, Philosophy, Hindi, and Education are available under the B.A. (Honours) courses. Admission to the students will be based on the results of the 10+2 examination, giving special weightage to the marks in that particular subject. The intake is between minimum 30 to maximum 50 depending on the subjects;
B.Sc. Programs: B.Sc. (Honours) in Zoology, Botany, Physiology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Microbiology, and Nutrition are offered by the college for science aspirants. Admission is based on the merit of overall scores in the 10+2 board exams and in the relevant science subjects. The intake pool in the majority of B.Sc. Programs is likely around 30, with Nutrition being higher among them with 50.
BCA and BMLT: BCA and BMLT course programs are offered by the College. Admission to these professional courses is subject to merit-based online admission, similar to other undergraduate courses.
M.A. Programs: Postgraduate courses offered are History, Bengali, Sanskrit, and Hindustani Vocal Music, wherein admission to each is based on the candidate having a Bachelor's degree in the concerned subject. The selection is done through basis of marks secured in the qualifying undergraduate degree examination with an intake of 20-50 depending on the subject.
M.Sc. Programs: The MScs offered are Applied Mathematics, Human Physiology, Zoology, Computer Science, Botany, Food Science and Nutrition, Geography, Microbiology, and Chemistry. The relevant bachelor's is a prerequisite in the corresponding or related field of study. Admission is through the marks in the bachelor's degree with most of the programs housing 30 seats to fill.
