This publication aims to present the Ramgarhia Polytechnic College, Phagwara a polytechnic college established in 1950 and located in Phagwara, Punjab – India. An affiliated college offering a span of diploma programmes in various engineering disciplines certified by AICTE for college. Located on the vast piece of land of 18.5 acres, the college offers generalised student throughput of 468 across all its programmes.
Ramgarhia Polytechnic College has ensured that there is favorable environment for learning among the students. Degree wise Admission Process
Out of its five diploma programs, Ramgarhia Polytechnic College has put all the programs on a three-year plan of study. Admission procedures for each of these courses are modified through the Joint Entrance Test (JET). Each program goes as follows:
Diploma in Civil Engineering: The sanctioned admission capacity is 60 seats. JET merit is the basis of admission and it's a centralized admission process.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering: Similar to the above, for the 60-seats intake, it follows along the merit of JET and the same admission process.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: The institute provides a total of 60 seats in this discipline. The candidates are selected by centralized admission process based on the assessment score obtained in the Joint Entrance Test.
Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering: As the smallest program with the lowest intake of 30 seats, candidates for this program are selected through a centralized system after joint entrance examination performance.
Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: This course has the same intake capacity of 30 seats as with Computer Science entrance. The admission is through a centralized system based on the merit list of JET.
