BSW is a three year honours course in Social Work at bachelor level. The course is an applied course and is problem-solving oriented. It prepares a student to take up challenges of supervisory and middle level positions in NGOs and government organisations associated with Socio-economic development, Community development (Rural, Urban, Tribal, etc.), Social policies, Disaster management, Imparting Education, Health care services, Psychiatric issues, Prevention of HIV/AIDS, Poverty alleviation, Social Welfare (Child Welfare, Women Welfare, Welfare of aged, Minority welfare, Welfare of SC/ST, Welfare of Disabled, etc), Correctional & Reformative activities, Social activities, etc.
