Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza Admission Process

Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza, is a popular co-educational college in Guwahati, Assam, in the Kamrup district and has a merit system and a transparent admission policy for the different graduate and postgraduate programs it offers.  Normally, admission procedures at the college begin after the declaration of the 10+2 results. Degree wise Admission Process

BA (Bachelor of Arts): The college has given 800 seats for this BA program. Admission is purely on merit considering the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination. The college offers several honors courses in the BA program: Political Science, Philosophy, Mathematics, History, Geography, English, Education, Economics, and Assamese.

B.Sc: The college offers 350 seats for B.Sc admission; selection proceeds on the basis of merit with 10+2 marks as criteria. Honors are offered in Zoology, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Geography, and Chemistry.

B.Com: B.Com has 120 seats. Admission process is merit-based taking into consideration the marks scored in the 10+2 examination.

B.Voc: The B.Voc program has 100 seats. Admission is merit-based taking into consideration 10+2 marks. Specializations offered are B.Voc Banking and Financial Services and B.Voc Retail Management and Information Technology.

M.Sc: The college offers a self-financed program M.Sc in Zoology. Admission shall be through the marks obtained in the relevant bachelor's degree.

MA: The college offers self-financed MA in Assamese. Admission is availed on the basis of marks in the bachelor's degree.

PGDCA: This is a postgraduate-level diploma program. Admission will be strictly on the basis of the marks obtained in the bachelor's degree.
