Honestly, the campus of IIT Roorkee is really good. It has that old-school charm with some of the heritage buildings, and at the same time, there are modern classrooms and labs too.The campus has everything you’d need a huge library, sports grounds, swimming pool, gym, canteens, and a central mess.

Academics at IIT Roorkee are honestly solid. The curriculum is properly designed, and you get a good mix of theory and practical learning. The professors are experienced and genuinely good at what they teach.

Placements at IIT Roorkee are actually really good. Big companies from India and abroad come here every year.For CS and IT, the packages are crazy high. Even in core branches like Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical, companies like L&T, Tata Projects, visit with decent offers.

I pursued B.A. in History here out of genuine interest in the subject and with a thought of preparing for competitive exams. If you’re looking to build a career directly after graduation, it may not make you “job-ready” unless you do extra certifications or prepare for exams on your own. But it definitely builds a strong theoretical foundation.

To be completely honest — placements are practically non-existent for general courses like B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. Not a single student from our batch was placed through campus drives. From what I’ve heard, some professional courses like BBA or MBA may have 10-15% placement rates, with the highest package around ₹6–10 LPA, but those are extremely rare cases, mostly for technical or management fields. Average salary? For most of us, there was none. There was no formal placement cell or support for us. We had to explore job opportunities on our own after graduation.

The infrastructure of my college is quiet decent. We have well built labs and the campus area is also very big. All the essential classes like smart class and other experimental classes are there with proper maintenance. The rooms are well ventilated and the seats are quiet good . The facilities of library are also very decent with all the essential books available and there js a well developed sports complex with diiferent sports like badminton voleyball basketball and table tennis and there materials required. There is no problem of wifi connection . The hygiene is also well maintained.

I am pursuing my MBA and i am pursuing it as i want to work in corporate field as i think i can channelise my potential. The quality of teaching is good with very experienced teachers and faculties . I think the curriculum is a bit outdated but yes it can get developed with time. I think with all the practical knowledge and all the assignment work and competition conducted in my college i feel we are somewhere job ready.

It has a moderately developed campus ranging on a land of almost 12 acres. The infrastructure is decent as a mid-tier engineering college also providing management courses affliated to APJ Abdul Kamal Technical University in Lucknow. The college has dedicated academic blocks with spacious classrooms. The labs for different departments is equipped with needed equipments though not latest. Although there is wifi present in campus, it's slow in speed due to the jammer used during examinations taken in TCS exam centre, also present in the college campus. Separate hostels are provided for girls and boys. The rooms provides living space for 2 students. In terms of mess food, its better than other hostels as I've heard.

The faculty is very well qualified holding M.tech and PhD degrees. They follow the curriculum set by the University. Each of them have their unique teaching style and are very well versed which makes it easy for students to understand the basics and the curriculum. The college provides regular assessment taking place each week throughout the college years. This ensures that the students are learning.

It has a training and placement cell that conducts placements, soft skill training , pre-placement talks etc. The cell is responsible for all the on campus placements. But, the placements experience is varied by the branch and students skill and initiative.
