Sasi Creative School of Architecture, Coimbatore: Admission 2025, Courses, Fees, Cutoff, Placements, Ranking

It is affiliated with Sasi Creative School of Architecture (SCSA) founded in 2012 on Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Recognized by the Council of Architecture this is a co-educational institute which provides specialized concentration on architectural education. Located within a 1.5 acres land space, SCSA has 311 students, 51% of which are male students and 49% are female students. The faculty member of the institute is 27 members which are sufficient for the student and they maintain a proper ratio of student faculty. SCSA has only one undergraduate programme the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) which for FY 2009/2010 has an approved intake of eighty (80) students annually.

This institute offers various student service amenities to complement the student’s learning processes. It has modern information technology facilities such as an equipped computer laboratory, latest model PCs, and appropriate software for architectural design. There are male and female hostels within and outside the campus whereby the female hostel is within the campus for security reasons. The library at SCSA contains books, free and bound, in architecture and design along with membership to National and International periodicals. 

The college has also a digital library categorized under Delnet and CDS. Additional facilities available are a large dining hall, playgrounds with equipment for both indoor and outdoor games, a hall for seminars and slide shows, and medical aid facilities with a health clinic. The whole campus is wireless enabled for computer base education and fast access of internet.

The five-year full time B. Arch programme is SCSA’s flagship programme and is offered along with three year part time B Arch course. This program constitutes the most popular program within the institute with a total of 80 students admitted every year. The B.Arch course has been crafted to offer the students with detailed knowledge about architectural theory, design processes as well as skills that are applied in the profession. Although the institute offer only this single degree programme, it guarantees quality and specialisation in architectural studies.

The admission in SCSA is based strictly on merit; and students are admitted along with their NATA score or the JEE Main Paper 2 score. It also mentioned that for admission purpose, the applicant should have a valid NATA pass score or his/her marks of JEE Main Paper 2. This institute admits students from all over India but 95% of the students come from within Tamil Nadu while 5% of the students come from other states of India. 

SCSA also provides scholars with scholarships where from the year 2022 only 7 out of 236 undergraduate students were reimbursed financially. Despite the limited amount donated, the institute has tried to financially support architectural education by opening opportunities to students who would otherwise not afford it.
