School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies is a constituent college of the Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, which was established in the year 2002. The institute is seated in an expansive 40 acre of land and is known for providing many branches in engineering. Despite having 19 members in the faculty, the school offers education to 232 students studying different programmes. The institute has 13 courses for 5 degree programmes, both undergraduate and postgraduate with specialisation in engineering and computer applications. Of the enroled students 86% are male and only 14% are female students 85% are local students while 15% are from other parts of India only.
School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies has a list of available infrastructure which facilitates learning and personal development of the students. Boys and girls have their different hostel facilities fully equipped with modern amenities and are in the care of appointed wardens for excellent learning conditions. The library contains printed and electronic resources, library management information systems and a wide range of books and periodicals. School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies delivers a total of 13 courses comprising full-time undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. The undergraduate level programmes offered taught at the Institute include five B.Tech programmes, and one BCA programme at undergraduate level. The postgraduate level programmes are four M.Tech specialisations, one MCA programme and Doctoral level. The total number of students offered for the undergraduate engineering programmes is 300 through each B.Tech course there are 60 students. The BCA programme is having an intake of 30 students whereas MCA and M.Tech programmes have an intake of 20 and 15 respectively. The courses are B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, PhD in Mechanical and so on.

Intake in the School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies is mainly facilitated by national university entrance examinations. Regarding admissions, for B.Tech programmes priority is given to JEE Main rank. The last remaining seats in any particular category carried forward are then sold based on merit in the qualifying examination. The institute also use GATE scores to admitted the M.Tech students and uses the remaining capacity to admit student from other quotas. For the BCA and MCA programmes, admissions will be given on the merit basis depending on the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.

The School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology, Baddi (BUEST) provides a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology, the School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies is renowned for its holistic education in different engineering fields. The School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies admission process is formulated to identify meritorious and deserving candidates through national-level entrance tests and merit-based choices.
For UG courses, admissions generally open in May-June for the August-September starting academic year. The School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies gives top priority to JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions. For PG courses such as M.Tech, GATE scores are the first preference for admission. The BCA and MCA courses take students on a merit basis in the qualifying exams.
The minimum qualification requirement for admission to B.Tech programmes is passing 10+2 with Physics, Maths, and Chemistry as core subjects. For admission to M.Tech programmes, candidates need a B.E./B.Tech. or an equivalent degree in the relevant specialisation. BCA candidates must be 10+2 pass while MCA candidates require a graduation degree.

Six B.Tech programmes with 360 seats in total (60 seats per course) are provided by BUEST. JEE Main scores form the major criterion of admissions. Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering are the programmes provided. One must have completed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Four M.Tech programmes with 15 seats each are offered by the institute, amounting to 60 seats. The admissions are done on the basis of GATE scores. The specialisations are Structural Engineering, Production Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, and Computer Science and Engineering. The candidate should have a B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in the same field.
The BCA course of 3 years has an intake capacity of 30 students. The School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies admissions are made on the basis of merit as per the marks secured in the qualifying examination (10+2).
The Master of Computer Applications course has an intake capacity of 20 students. The School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies admissions are made on the basis of merit as per the marks secured in the qualifying examination (bachelor's degree).
