School of Law, SASTRA University, Thanjavur is one of the most reputed constituent colleges under SASTRA University. There are four full-time programs being offered at the School of Law. Among them are three five-year integrated courses- BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), and B. Com LLB (Hons), as well as a three-year LLB course. It helps aspiring lawyers have proper training in the laws of the country.
Most of the admissions are preceded by a pre-admission test or an entrance exam with some additional criteria during selection so that only the apt students can make their entry to these courses. As in the case eligibility criteria for admissions to these integrated law programs comprise passing the 10+2 exam or equivalent qualification from a prestigious board. Eligibility for entry into the three-year LLB program is any bachelor's degree from any discipline.
Application Procedure
Application procedure for the School of Law, SASTRA University, Thanjavur will consist of the following modules:

Degree-wise Admission Process
BA LLB (Hons): This is a five-year integrated program, wherein arts subjects are combined with legal studies. Admission is made on the basis of the entrance examination and the candidate's 10+2 results. The program builds a strong foundation in liberal arts as well as law.
BBA LLB (Hons): This integrated course combines business administration with law. Admission to the course is based on entrance exam scores and the student's performance in 10+2. This is a suitable course for students who are interested in corporate law and business legal affairs.
B.Com LLB (Hons): This is a five-year course, in which students learn both commerce and law. The admission process depends on the marks obtained in the entrance examination and 10+2. It is recommended for students who want to specialize in commercial and tax laws.
LLB: This is a three-year LLB course that is also accessible to graduates of any discipline. Entrance test and performance in graduation degree would generally be taken into account for admissions. This course would suit the career to someone who had completed graduation in some other stream before joining this field of study.
Candidates seeking LLB admission in some of the top National Law Universities (NLUs) in India need to mandatorily appear for CLAT. However, apart from CLAT candidates can also appear for some other state- and university/college-level law entrance exams such as: MH CET Law. TS LAWCET.
