Seth Banarsi Dass College of Education, Kurukshetra, is a well-known institution and recognized by NCTE. The college has an elaborate admission procedure for teacher education with the aim of selecting the best.  Admission into the Seth Banarsi Dass College of Education is almost entirely on merit, as prescribed by the Government of Haryana and the university with which it is affiliated. Admission into the B.Ed. course, the main program here, is made on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination conducted by the respective examining authority. Application Process

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The two-year B.Ed. course at Seth Banarsi Dass College of Education is a regular course and is considered the flagship program of the institution. The program has an approved intake of 300 seats and thus shows that the college is capable of nurturing a large number of future educators. Admission to the B.Ed. course is merit-based, taking into consideration qualifying marks in the examination and/or entrance examination, as per the directives of the state government and the university. The minimum eligibility for admission to B.Ed. is either a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

D.Ed.: The college also runs a two-year regular Diploma in Education program, i.e., D.Ed. This program has its own admission rules which are subjected to online weightage cum merit system. This system computes merit on the basis of marks obtained in five particular subjects including English and stream specific subjects in the 10+2 examination. The selection is done stream-wise under each reserved category, thus ensuring fair representation with respect to each category of different streams and reserved categories.
