Shree Krishan Mahila Mahavidylaya, Hasanpur Admission Process

Shree Krishan Mahila Mahavidylaya, Hasanpur, was established as a women-oriented college in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. The institute has an excellent record for maintaining quality education for its girl students, which is also recognized by the NCTE.  The admission process has the active concern and interest of the college in inclusion and merit, thereby allowing deserving girls an opportunity to continue their studies for higher education. The two major programs of the college, BA and D.El.Ed., are full-time programs for 2 years. The D.El.Ed. program emphasizes teacher education with an approved strength of 50. The admissions in that regard are, rather, precisely structured based on the procedure established by the state government or university.

Application Process

1. Admission Notification: The notification regarding admission might preferably be put up by the college on its official website and local newspapers.

2. Application Form: Interested candidates would require to obtain and fill out an admission form. This may either be available on the college website or from the college campus.

3. Submission of Documents: Candidates are usually expected to send necessary documents separately along with the completely filled application form. These typically include:

  • 10th mark sheets and 12th mark sheets and certificates;
  • Character certificate from the last attended institution;
  • Transfer certificate;
  • Recent passport size photographs;
  • Any other documents as specified by the college or required for reservation categories.

4. Entrance Exam (for D.El.Ed.): Candidates applying for the D.El.Ed. program may be required to appear for a Common Entrance Test, if mandated by the state government or university.

5. Publication of Merit List: Based on the criteria stated for each course (academic performance for BA and entrance exams results/other criteria for D.El.Ed.) the college would be likely to release merit lists.

6. Counselling and Seat Allocation: The short-listed candidates may be called for counselling wherein merit-wise seat allocation will be done based on availability.

7. Payment of Fees: Selected candidates would be required to pay the prescribed fees to confirm their admission.

8. Document Verification: The college may conduct the final round of document verification before confirmation of the admission.

Degree Wise Admission Process

BA (Bachelor of Arts): The ever popular Bachelor program at Shree Krishan Mahila Mahavidylaya, Hasanpur, is pursued by students who intend to major in liberal arts. This program is a two-year full-time course with an intake capacity approved for 360 students, and it covers a wide range of subjects pertaining to humanities. Indications are that merit shall be determined vis-a-vis the performance of candidates in the 10+2 or equivalent examination. Students wishing to pursue BA should, therefore, make sure that they comply with the basic criteria for eligibility: usually, passing the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): The admission process for the D.El.Ed. program with an intake of 50 is a general and commonly structured one. According to information provided, "Admission Shall be Made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/UT Administration." This means one or more of the following would apply to the admission process:

  1. Selection on the basis of merit considering marks in the qualifying examination (likely to be 10+2 or equivalent).
  2. Scores in a Common Entrance Test organized by the state government or university.
  3. Other selection processes determined by the state government or UT administration.

Applying candidates for D.El.Ed. should prepare for competitive selection processes and ensure that they meet eligibility criteria laid down for them by the institute or regulatory bodies.
