About Sonitpur Polytechnic, Sonitpur

Sonitpur Polytechnic, established in the year 2017 at Dhekiajuli, in the Sonitpur district of Assam, India, is affiliated. The institution is approved by AICTE and delivers Diploma level engineering programmes. This institution has a total student intake capacity of 496 and a faculty strength of 3, therefore offers a focused learning environment for aspiring engineers. At present, the institute offers three full-time diploma courses, each of three years, in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. 

Sonitpur Polytechnic campus is built with modern facilities for academic and personal development of students.  All departments are equipped with laboratories where students can avail practical working experience since working experience is an essential ingredient of technical education. Sonitpur Polytechnic is an institution affiliated to the AICTE that provides engineering programs on a diploma level in Dhekiajuli of Sonitpur district, Assam. The admission process at Sonitpur Polytechnic is established to obtain suitable candidates for admission into its three diploma courses of three years each in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. Other polytechnics follow a uniform admission procedure, which is what this institute also practices. The main entrance to Sonitpur Polytechnic is through the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT). This entrance examination is designed for the enrollment of the different polytechnic institutes throughout the whole state of Assam, ensuring a level and competitive selection system. The PAT measures candidates' verbal aptitude and knowledge in relation to the other subjects associated with their completing any engineering study.

Therefore, applicants applying for the Sonitpur Polytechnic institution must first sit for the PAT. The exam contains Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry; thus, the whole syllabus resembles the 10th standard.
