Spintronic Technology and Advance Research (STAR) started its journey in the year 2009, mainly as an engineering institute situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha state. Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Tech: A total of 270 seats are available for the five B.Tech programs offered by STAR. Admission into these programs is done on the basis of JEE Main scores. Mechanical Engineering (120 seats), Civil Engineering (60 seats), Electronics & Communication Engineering (30 seats), Computer Science and Engineering (30 seats), and Electrical & Electronics Engineering (30 seats) are the specializations to select from. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to be eligible.
Diploma: The Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering programs each have 60 seats and are more diploma offerings of the institute. Admissions shall be based on the SCTE&VT of Odisha. Those who have completed their 10th Standard are eligible to apply for admission. Selection is generally conducted on the basis of a state-level entrance examination.
