Sree Ramakrishna Medical College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences started in 2001 in Kulasekharam, Kanyakumari is the pioneer medical college with a difference. It is recognised by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. The college occupies a large area of 20 acres and is surrounded by both natural and architectural environment necessary for nurturing and education students. The intensity of enrolment is calculated at 387 whereas the faculty population is 35, hence SRK Medpark offers a student-centred education effectively. The college of Naturopathy and Yoga Science conducts only one course, the Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yoga Science (BNYS).

A number of teaching facilities in SRK Medpark elaborate distinctive features aimed at improving the learning process of students. The college provides students with modern equipped and comfortable Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Bio-Chemistry, Nutrition, and Herbology laboratories. A modern computer lab provide practical knowledge in IT, among students. Students have access to a 100 bedded Naturopathy hospital that gives practical experience to the learners. A well furnished computerised library consists a wide range of medical books and journals for the use of students. The college has also invested on accommodation by developing different hostel sections for men and women to make them comfortable. Considering the physical health, the campus has sports complex, gym room as well as clean, well designed playground for different games indoors and outdoors. Other facilities include the cafeteria, Stores and convenient shops and auditorium add on to the student’s experience of campus lifestyle.

SRK Medpark has only one course for its students, the Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yoga Science or BNYS. This detailed programme covers five years and six months with an added year of internship. The course is offered as a full time programme with an approved intake of one hundred students per academic year. The focused approach helps the college to sustain the quality of education in its specialised area of interest, Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences.

SRK Medpark has merit-base system for admissions. It is mandatory for any potential student to take a standard personal interview as one of the admission procedure. The original certificates must be produced to the interviewer during the course of this interview.
