Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital located in Udupi has been established in 1958. The college and hospital are imparting education and also providing health care in the field of Ayurveda system of medicine. This affiliated college is situated in Kuthpady, Udupi, Karnataka, and the college occupies an area of 21 acres of land. CCIM Recognised Institute offers 19 courses under four degrees awarded to the students of the competitive field. The enrolment of the college involves 538 students and 71 members of the faculty; however, academic diversity remains a significant factor in the college’s activity. The institution offers the students different ayurvedic courses in order to gain the qualities of a traditional Indian medical doctor.

Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital enjoys modern, advanced facilities that are necessary in the provision of education goals. A literature library is equipped with more than 20,000 books, separately having a library of digital books and an Internet connection. The library also provides free access to e-journals and databases via the HELINET group, where electronic journals in the library collection are made available through the universities and colleges consortium. Its facilities include departmental laboratories, a 600-seater capacity auditorium, and a canteen that handles different cuisine types. For sickness issues, there has been developed a modern 275-bed hospital with different kinds of divisions. There are some extracurricular activities, such as sports facilities with a spacious playground for outdoor games and other games within the compound. The college also has individual hostels for boys and girls, with comfortable furniture and necessary facilities and a security system.

Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital has a total of nineteen courses and is offering full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. The flagship course is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), for which the institution gets 75 admissions. The college also provides different MD & MS courses in the Ayurvedic system, which is preferable for 4-6 students. Besides, several Ph.D. programmes exist for sensual Ayurvedical study. However, the main couple of programmes Ayurvedic gazetted for higher research.

The process of admission in Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital has main reliance on national-level entrance tests. For the BAMS programme, there are admissions through the NEET examination as an eligibility cum entrance test. The candidates seeking admission for MD and MS in AYUSH courses have to appear for the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). A writing test is conducted for 100 marks, and the final merit index out of the same is used as criteria for the selection of candidates for postgraduate courses exclusively. Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Udupi, is a prestigious institution offering various Ayurvedic programs. The college follows a rigorous admission process designed to select the most deserving candidates for its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Ayurvedic medicine.

The admission process usually starts during May-June for the session starting in August-September. For undergraduate programs, admissions are on the basis of scores obtained from the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET. MS Ayurveda: The college offers 2 specializations in MS Ayurveda with a total of 12 seats. The admission process is similar to MD Ayurveda, based on AIAPGET scores and a written test. Specializations include Shalya Tantra and Prasuti and Striroga.

PhD: The college offers PhD courses in 5 specializations namely Kayachikitsa, Prasootitantra and Streeroga, Dravyaguna, Shareera Rachana, and Roga Nidana. PhD admissions are on the basis of a written test and/or interview. There are no details provided on PhD admission specific to specialization.

As you have not mentioned any BAMS college you are talking about, the cost differs in different states and universities.

In any reputed private college affiliated to the apex body and universities the expense on management seat will be any where between 10 lakh to 18lakh (About 2- 3 lakh /year).
