24 MonthsBachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Bangalore University, Bangalore.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility for admission to any graduate of UGC recognized Universities. As equivalent there to who is physically fit and satisfies any of the following conditions will be eligible for admission to Degree courseBachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter College / Inter-Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. Of India.or Bachelor’s Degree in physical education with 45% marks. Teaching practices bachelor's Degrees in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as a compulsory elective subject. Bachelor’s Degree with 45% marks and having participated in National / Inter University / State competitions or secured 1st, 2nd, 3rd, position in Inter College / Inter-Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. Of India.
- Bachelor’s Degree with participation in International competitions or secured 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, position in National / Inter-University competitions in sports and games as recognized by the respective federations / AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. Of India. Graduation with 45% marks & at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates. i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches).
- The relaxation of a 5% percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and the reservation of seats for SC & ST categories shall be as per the rules of the central government/state government, whichever is applicable.
- All the candidates shall produce a medical fitness certificate issued by a competent Medical Officer.
Admission Details
Admission Shall be Made on merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.
