About Sri Krishna Engineering College, Chennai

Sri Krishna Engineering College (SKEC) was started in 1999, situated in Panapakkam near Padappai about 30 km from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This AICTE-approved affiliated college for technical education has been creating technical manpower for the last twenty-two years. SKEC is encompassed in a vast campus area of 8 acres and provides a brilliant opportunity to study in the engineering and management fields. The college enrols a total of 170 students and has a dedicated staff of 78 members. SKEC today offers 9 courses spread across 3 degree levels in various specialised fields of engineering and management.

SKEC exhibits the facilities that are in place to improve the learning and other aspects of the learners. The campus has independently hosted hostels for boys and girls, which makes outstation students compromise on the quality of the hostel. A first aid health centre for college students is available with professional facilities to offer first aid services when the need arises. For those interested in sports and exercises, there is a contemporary gym on the territory of the university. The college library is among the best developed libraries according to international standards; it holds a large number of books from different branches of engineering and technology. Co-curricular activities are opportunities for sports enthusiasts and athletes to enjoy their respective college sports facilities for healthy living and team rebuilding. There is a good information technology facility in SKEC that allows the students to access the technology required to support there studies. Other facilities include a canteen, market place, well-established practical lab for all students, faculty guest house, seminar, and auditorium.

At present, Sri Krishna Engineering College Education provides 9 courses in different fields. Such programmes include 6 undergraduate programmes and 3 postgraduate programmes, all of which are full-time programmes. The total approved intake of the college is 357, and it offers admissions to all its programmes. The integrated programmes are BE in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, B.Tech in Information Technology, Fashion Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. Thus, at the postgraduate level, the college offers ME in Computer Science and Engineering and Applied Electronics besides an MBA.

The institute is offering two PG engineering programmes: ME in Computer Science and Engineering (18 seats) and ME in Applied Electronics (9 seats). Sri Krishna Engineering College admissions will be carried out based on the TANCET score followed by counselling held by Anna University.
