The Sri Lakshmi Ammal Engineering College, generally abbreviated as SLAEC, was established in the year 2001 and is a premier institution located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college has been preparing the future of young engineers for more than twenty years. Located in Kancheepuram District of Tamil Nadu, SLAEC has an elastic combination of engineering programmes as undergraduate as well as postgraduate degrees. Application Process
Sri Lakshmi Ammal Engineering College application differs on the basis of the level of course:
For B.E. Programs:
1. Appear for the TANCET or JEE Main exam.
2. Apply for the TNEA counselling process.
3. Complete the required application forms according to the TNEA guidelines.
4. Produce all the documents as mentioned, i.e., 10+2 mark sheets, entrance exam score card, and other specified certificates.
5. Attend the TNEA counselling process for seat allotment.

For M.E. Programs:
1. Register and appear for CEETA-PG exam.
2. After announcing the results, shortlisted candidates are eligible to apply for SLAEC.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering): Five B.E. courses are provided in SLAEC: Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. All of them are taken through the counselling process of TNEA. The candidate should have done 10+2 level studies with core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and clear the TANCET or JEE Main entrance exam.
M.E. (Master of Engineering): There are three M.E. courses in the college: Power Electronics and Drives, Computer Science and Engineering, and Applied Electronics. Admissions to the master's courses are based on the CEETA-PG examination. The admission procedure for all the M.E. courses is identical:
1. The candidates have to appear for the CEETA-PG entrance examination.
2. Candidates are shortlisted for subsequent admission procedures based on their performance in the CEETA-PG.
3. The last choice is usually made on the basis of the CEETA-PG score of the student, the student's academic history in their bachelor's degree, and other parameters as may be determined by the college.
