The SRPTC started in 1996 to provide quality technical education, education is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Located in a large 30 acres complex; it provides diploma courses in engineering fields. SRPTC is an affiliated college which has the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) sanction on it hence a quality provision of education is offered with due incorporating of the curriculum affairs in the industry. It has 1,337 students intake and faculty of 57 members through which Offer a right ambience to the students who wish to be engineers.

The college has many fine facilities to aid and enhance students’ learning and all round development. The rich library resources and information centre provide easy access to both print and electronic books, journals and other forms of information(geometry, technology, engineering and science and other related fields). In learning laboratories, SRPTC has equipped with modern and well equipped sophisticated laboratories and workshops like Fluid Mechanics Lab, Foundry and Welding shops, Power Mechanics lab, CAD/CAM lab equipped with latest software and engineering wise workshops. The college also provides students with a new-generational gymnasium and the necessary facilities for athletic, basketball, volleyball, football, and cricket.

SRPTC provides eight official full-time diploma courses, which are all three year programs. These courses focus on different branches of engineering as the courses give the students a sound background of their respective fields. The total approved intake in all these courses is 450 and this reflects the college’s policy on provision of a reasonable student-faculty ratio. Programmes according to the discipline offered are Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Communication and Computer Networking.

Admissions Process Degree Wise

Diploma in Computer Engineering: Admission based on a merit list prepared on the basis of 10th standard marks with special weightage given to Mathematics and Science to an intake of 90.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: 60 students are accepted to this program on merit based on marks of the qualifying examination with emphasis on Physics and Mathematics.

Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering: An intake of 60 students; admission selection takes into consideration the entire performance on the 10th standard with special emphasis on Science and Mathematics.

Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: An intake of 60 students; admission is merit based on the 10th standard results with concentration on performance in core subjects.

Diploma in Automobile Engineering: A specialized program with an intake of 30 students. Admissions are done through a merit list based on marks obtained in Mathematics and Science, as well as overall performance.

Diploma in Civil Engineering: This course provides room for 30 students who are selected based on their marks in the 10th standard, putting special emphasis on Maths and Science.

Diploma in Communication and Computer Networking: The intake for this course is 30 students, and admission is based on the overall performance of the 10th standard.

Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering: Accepting no number of intake, this program follows almost the same merit-based admission procedure as for the other courses.
