BA English, Psychology and Communicative English at SJCC Bangalore Offline Course

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours in English, Psychology and Communicative English is a three-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by St Joseph's College of Commerce, Bangalore and affiliated to Bangalore University, Bangalore.

The B.A. (English, Psychology & Communicative English) Programme is a triple specialization programme that foregrounds the study of literature, psychology, and communication in both global and Indian contexts. It focuses on providing a foundational knowledge of the three disciplines and developing critical and creative skills required for a career in the field of literary studies, human behaviour, media & entertainment, creative arts, professional communication, journalism, and social and corporate sectors.

English courses, through a close study of texts and contexts, familiarizes students with literary histories of the world and equips them with literary sensibilities and skills of interpretation. It will also focus on researching literary and cultural histories, society and human experience, and emerging genres of literature.
Psychology courses are designed to familiarise students with the various applications of Psychology in different spheres including clinical, educational, and industrial settings. In addition, it provides a platform to use these skills to enhance self-awareness, empathy, and social responsibility.
Communicative English courses focus on understanding the history and evolution of English language, concepts in linguistics, communication theory, and writing and speaking skills for specific contexts. Emphasis will be laid on developing ideas for creative multimedia projects.

The BA programme intends to connect liberal arts, humanities, and social sciences through a multidimensional curriculum and an interdisciplinary approach.
