St. Wilfred’s College of Law, Jaipur, was established in 2003. This affiliated college, recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI), has been shaping young generations into legal professionals for around one and half decade. Located on a 6,150 sq meters campus in Sector-10, Meera Marg, Mansarover, the college offers adequate environment to the pupils aspiring to be legal professionals. St. Wilfreds imposes a low student intake at 1,261 and has nineteen faculty members which gives the students individual attention. The college has only three courses which gives the college the opportunity to offer different methods of legal education and eliminate any loophole.
St. Wilfred’s College of Law has numerous modern facility which help maintain the learning of the students in the college. The library has adequate stocks of materials and students have adequate access to several laws and legal journals and magazines. There is a demonstrated focus on the use of the latest technology within the college owing to impressive information technology support; students are exposed to recent trends within the legal profession. The specially designed moot court for aspiring litigators is perhaps the best in the country being a small law court where students practice their debating skills in a mock trial setting. Sports enthusiasts will particularly benefit from the active Physical Education Department; the institutions facilities in games such as basketball, cricket, volleyball,table tennis, badminton, outdoors and billiards, and chess. The college also has two different hostels for boys and girls with all the facilities like neat and clean, well furnished room and other necessary amenities for the out-station students.
St. Wilfred’s College of Law provides a limited number of full time programmes with courses that meet different levels of legal study. The college provides three courses, undergraduate law programme which takes 3 years of study to complete and is referred to as the LLB, another programme that is a combination of a 5-year integrated Bachelor of Arts degree in any course the candidate deems fit and then follows it up with the 3-year LLB programme to complete his/her undergraduate studies, and the postgraduate programme which takes 2 years of study to complete and is referred to as the Masters of Law. The basic degree in law, the LLB programme, has an intake capacity of 300 students and therefore the college equips a large number of qualified legal personnel each year. The five year integrated course BA LLB specifically for the students who wish to have both the bachelors degree in arts along with the Bachelor of Laws has 120 seats.
