48 MonthsBachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by Anna University, Chennai.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum requirements for admission to B.E. / B.Tech. Programs are
OC: HSE- +2 pass with an aggregate of 50% marks in Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Vocational- +2 pass with an aggregate of 50% marks in Maths+ Vocational Subjects.
BC: HSE- +2 pass with an aggregate of 45% marks in Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Vocational- +2 pass with an aggregate of 45% marks in Maths+ Vocational Subjects.
MBC: HSE- +2 pass with an aggregate of 40% marks in Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Vocational- +2 pass with an aggregate of 40% marks in Maths+ Vocational Subjects.
SC/ST: HSE- +2 pass (expected with an aggregate of 40% marks in Maths, Physics, Chemistry). Vocational- +2 pass (expected with 40% of marks in Maths+ Vocational Subjects).
Lateral Entry Candidates
Diploma Holders (various branches) are also eligible to II years of the four years B.E. / B.Tech Degree courses.
OC: Diploma with 55% marks in the 5th and 6th semesters.
BC: Diploma with 45% marks in the 5th and 6th semesters.
MBC: Diploma with 40% marks in the 5th and 6th semesters.
SC/ST: Diploma pass with 40% marks in the 5th and 6th semesters.
