The selection process is in accordance with the state government, U.T. Administration, and the respective affiliated university policy. The candidate must pass his/her bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from a recognized university to be considered for the course.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed program has 50 seats for upcoming elementary school teachers. The admission procedure in D.El.Ed is also the same as the B.Ed program, based on merit. The candidates are selected based on the qualifying exam and/or entrance exam marks, as determined by the policy of the state government. The qualification is usually to pass 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
