Surya College of Technical Studies was established in 2018, making it a fairly young college in terms of technical education. This college is situated in Lucknow, the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, and in a short span of time has emerged as one of the most preferred choices among students who are in pursuit of diploma courses. The government-approved All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the statutory body responsible for the technical education standard in India for approval for the institute. Surya College has structured the student enrolment with a total of 71 students and a faculty strength of 22 members, which mainly decreases the student-teacher ratio.

Offering 180 seats across these programmes, the college is versatile in offering engineering courses for students’ choice. Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering programmes have 60 seats while Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology Engineering programme have 60 seats each. This distribution is consistent with the college’s focus areas as a primary engineering college and, at the same time, in line with modern technological development.
