Suryadeo Law College, Katihar Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Bar Council of India, Suryadeo Law College is one of those premier institutions for legal education today in the state of Bihar, India.  Eligible candidates are admitted by Suryadeo Law College for various law programs. The principal programs offered by the college include the Bachelor's of Laws (LLB) and the Integrated LLB.  The eligibility for different courses at Suryadeo Law College is as per the parameters defined by the Bar Council of India. In general, to be eligible for law programs, applicants are to be having bachelor degree from any stream recognized college/university. For the Integrated LLB program, students who have achieved completion of their Intermediate, that is 10+2 education can apply.  The selection criteria might also include merit of individual candidates in all previous qualifying examinations as also performance in related entrance tests.

Application Process

1. Admission Announcement: The official website and local newspapers will announce regarding admission procedure by the college.

2. Application Form: Candidates should obtain and fill in the application form which may be available on the site of the college or at the admission office.

3. Document Submission: Along with the duly filled application form, candidates will be required to submit certain documents as under:

• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, and graduation for LLB applicants)
• Valid photo ID proof
• Recent passport size photographs
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Entrance exam score card (if applicable)

4. Application Fee: Candidates will be required to pay an application fee; the amount along with the way of payment will be specified by the college.

5. Admission List: The college shall prepare and announce the list of selected candidates according to the candidates' academic performance and other criteria.

6. Document Verification: Document verification would be carried out at the college for shortlisted candidates.

7. Payment of Fees: Admission would be confirmed after successful transfer of course fees post-document verification.

Degree wise Admission Process

LLB (Bachelor of Laws): The class of LLB estimated that Suryadeo Law College is a three years duration undergraduate law degree program. Candidates need to have graduated from all recognized institution to apply for this program. Admission would take consideration in most cases, so performance in the final grade and/or examination results would necessitate taking the law entrance exams.

Integrated LLB: This is a five-year integrated course that combines undergraduate studies and law education. This program is open to applicants who have completed their 10+2 training with any recognized board. Admission can be through consideration of the candidates performance on 10+2 examinations and approved entrance tests.

Both these courses are meant to give students an idea about both theory and practical application in the field of law. The college infrastructure comprising a well-equipped library along with moot court equips the students in this pursuit of legal education.
