SUVR and SR Government Polytechnic College for Women is a women’s technical education was initiated in Andhra Pradesh from the year 1987. This is a government polytechnic college situated in Kothapatnam, Prakasam district. The college is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Located at 9.24 acres, the college hosts three diploma programmes with the total student capacity of 291.

SUVR and SR Government Polytechnic College for Women has made a commitment to student achievement and success and development by offering an extensive of learning resources to meet the needs of students. A well-equipped library is a place where different and necessary requisites for researches and studies are provided. Advanced laboratories meet general and specific both needs of numerous departments at present. This college places the students in a good standing for learning the IT aspect because the college keeps the students exposed to latest trends in IT.

It provides three diploma courses which take three years to complete and are offered at SUVR and SR Government Polytechnic College for Women. Due to the availability of specific courses such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Commercial and Computer Practise, the institution plays a role of preparing students for various careers in technological field. Such courses are expected to give the students working skills or expertise and academic knowledge in their respective areas of specialisation.

The college may have admission schedule of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh.
