Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology is a four years full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Admission Details

Admission to all undergraduate courses (/academics) ie. Bachelors in Engineering (B.E.) are carried out through the single window system of the Anna University. Students can choose the courses based upon the state-wise rank calculated by their marks in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Department of Education, Government of TamilNadu.

Reservations are provided for BC/MBC/DNC/SC/ST etc as per the rules of the Government of TamilNadu.

Reservations are also provided for Physically handicapped / Ex-Service men / Sports persons / Other state candidates.

The college infrastructure is so good with lots of trees good food places we can find monkeys too there will be lots of good breeze and it will be pleasant place to actually study and learn many things.

Thiagarajar College of Engineering provides quality education in the field of engineering. The campus is spread over an area of 143 acres with a lush green area. The institute provides various facilities to students such as well-structured classrooms with projector facility which helps students understand the subjects in a better manner. Moreover, the institute has highly structured computer labs where all the systems are connected with the internet and all the training sessions in the computer
