The B.Design (Hons.) Interior & Furniture Design program nurtures students to craft environments that cater to social, cultural, aesthetic, and utilitarian needs. Through a blend of theoretical and practical approaches, students explore projects of various scales, focusing on usability and user-centered design. Engaging with both real-world and theoretical design challenges, students broaden their perspectives to become global designers. The program emphasizes the creation of imaginative spaces and meaningful interior products that enhance modern life experiences. Through multidisciplinary exploration, students delve into individual aspirations and collaborative practices.

The Interior & Furniture Design program at UID draws inspiration from Ahmedabad’s rich design and architectural legacy. Our curriculum fosters progressive thinking, encouraging students to challenge conventional spatial design beliefs and embrace diverse perspectives. Emphasizing global standards, the program equips students with knowledge and skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving creative economy, fostering trans-disciplinary attitudes and designing experiences that transcend spatial contexts to influence human behavior.

Eligibility Criteria

10+2 pass/appearing (Any Stream) or 3 Years Diploma (Equivalent to 10 +2 from any recognized higher secondary board/ institute.

Minimum Cut off Requirement (Indian/ Foreign/NRI Candidates)

50% aggregate score in the last qualifying examination
