University of West of Team Tranet Campus stands for Ursuline Women Teacher Training college which was founded in 1971 as a premier institution in Lohardaga, Jharkhand. The institute for the education of women has been determining educational future for over 5 decades. Situated in a small area of 2.5 acres, UWTTC is an affiliated college under the NCTE and NAAC recognised college. The college has three specialised educational courses responsible for a total student intake of 245 and comprised of 19 education faculty members.

The college has well equipped and well stocked library and information centre for students as well as faculties. University of West of Team Tranet Campus offers three full-time courses: This group consists of Bachelors of Education (B. Ed), Masters of Education (M. Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed). Teachers college education programmes are developed with the intention of ensuring that contestants will fit in well and perform outstandingly well in the teaching profession and education management. The B.Ed programme a four-year programme with an intake capacity of one hundred students is the flagship programme of the college. The M.Ed programme with 50 students reaches to prepare professionalism for leadership in the education sector. The D.El.Ed programme with 50 seats also aims to develop teachers to teach elementary classes.

Admission procedure of UWTTC is strictly merit based depending upon the marks secured by students in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests as per norms of State Government, UT Administration, and affiliated University. For the B.Ed and the D.El.Ed programmes, admission is given strictly based on the merit as obtained in the qualifying exam or entrance test as the case maybe as prescribed by the state government. The same applies to the M. Ed programme which also requires the performance in previous years and entrance test. No specific dates of admission are given for various courses offered but all the interested students are encouraged to visit the college website or the admission section of the college for up to date information.
Since its inception, UWTTC has prided in offering quality education to its clients and children going to its school besides having extra curricular provision. For their physical development, the college has sports facilities while for their cultural development there is the college’s auditorium for cultural activities. For outstation students, the University has a girls’ hostel with accommodation for one hundred and sixty students.

The selection of candidates for admission will depend on graduation marks from previous years and entrance test provisions.
