Vaidh Shankar Lal Memorial College of Education was commenced in the year of 2006, which is an affiliated college situated in Chandi, Tehsil Kasauli, Solan district of H.P. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education , New Delhi and conducts three full time educational courses. Located in a campus area of 1.05 acres, the college offers total student enrolment of 180 and has a faculty member of 20. It came into existence to enrol both male and female students offering quality education in area of teacher training. The college also runs 3 courses in educational discipline namely, B.El.Ed, M.El.Ed and D.El.Ed for trainee teachers.
The college has some of the facilities halls that facilitate the learning process of its students right from the college. Girls and boys are provided with different hostels within the campus and the general facilities give them an appropriate setting for study and other related activities. There is well equipped library centre which consists of a large number of books and journals related to text books and other reference books and research journals. It’s health-wise equipped with a gymnasium and adequate playground for outdoor activities such as volleyball, badminton, and even kabaddi among others. For the purpose of addressing requirements of the contemporary system of education, Vaidh Shankar Lal Memorial College of Education has developed an ICT resource centre containing the projector, camera, and other multimedia. Other facilities are a health centre having first aid facilities, a cafetaria, an athletic/ auditorium for conducting conferences and seminars, Internet services in the campus.
