Scope is Mechanical Engineering, is much more than Civil Engineering, be it in Private or Public Sector Enterprises. Unless you have vicinity issues, you could perhaps prefer Mechanical Engineering at IIITDM Kancheepuram, which is one of the better technical institutes in Tamil Nadu, just next to IIT Madras, NIT Trichy and Anna University. The institute has good infrastructure, faculty and research facilties. Most of the Top Companies like TVS, Ashok Leyland, GE, L&T, Bajaj recruit from the institute and secondly being located near Industrial hubs at Chennai provide impetus to training and placements.
Perhaps if you have vicinity issues, COEP Pune Civil might be a good option in that case. COEP in perhaps the oldest and best State technical institute in Maharashtra, next to IIT Bombay and NIT Nagpur.

Hello student
VJTI has higher NIRF ranking(71).The college has better infrastructural facilities with hostel, library, gym, cafeteria, hospital or medical facilities etc.The college has good placement records. Many companies visited the campus and recruited the students. The major recruiters are Infosys, Wipro, Reliance Industries Ltd etc.The average package offered to students is 7.65lakhs.You have a glimpse of the comparative insights of both the colleges from the college comparison from the below link

hello,
Both are government colleges for B.Tech. But iiit jabalpur is better than vjti because ofcourse iiit jabalpur takes admission through jee mains whereas vjti takes admissions through MHT CET. If we look to the placements perceptives iiit jabalpur has better package. IIIT jabalpur has 7lakhs to 8lakhs per annum package whereas vjti has 3lakhs to 4lakhs of average packaging. So according to me you should take iiit jabalpur.
But if you want cse branch and know your capabilties you can opt for vjti because if you have passion of doing something, you can succeed anywhere
all the best!!
Hello,
Cutoff by score varies every year depending on some parameters. In previous year, the cutoff for B. Tech in Textile Engineering is as follows
For general category candidates the cutoff by score is 131, for obc it was 130, for SC 115, for pwd category it was 132. However this year these cutoff by score May go up or down by basing few parameters like no of seats available in the colleges, difficulty level of examination and few others
Hi Deepak!
Don't worry on your marks! It is a pretty decent score. As per 2018 Cut Off for MHT CET, your score has been accepted in various colleges which I have listed below:
Hope this helps!
the labs are decent but the equipment's needs to be updated, sometimes you have to share with other students. the classrooms are basic to just do the job. nothing fancy as such. the campus is quite well maintained with lifts in some of the buildings
A big campus with beautiful building and green environment is eco friendly and studying. All the facilities are available in college like labs, sports ground with all the equipment and things are well maintained.
The college do have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment but as the college is very old the infrastructure and the facilities are not upto the mark The entire college has an wifi access to all the student, the college has all the necessary facilities, one of the best is the library
