Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology is a full-time three-year and One-Year Internship course offered by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai.

B.Sc. in Operation Theater Technology program means to understand the Ethics, Layout of Operation Theater as well as Handling the equipment. The course focuses on teaching students to maintain & troubleshoot anesthesia equipmentent and maintain a clear work environment.

They will provide help to Surgeons, Specialist, Anaesthesiologists, and Nurses. The primary undertaking of Operation Theater Technician is to help Doctors in Surgery, masterminding surgical instruments before surgery, cleaning instrumens before surgery, obeying surgeons order amid surgery or crisis strategies and dwaling with anesthesia equipment. Operation Theater Technologists are required across all hospitals who conduct surgeries such as General Surgery, Plastic surgery, Neurosurgery, Gynecology Surgery, and Urology etc.

The candidate must have completed (10+2) with Science Group.
