Vivekanand Education Society's Polytechnic is well-known as VESP. It was established in the year 1983 at Chembur in Mumbai. The institute is a co-educational and offers diploma courses in different branches of engineering. It is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. The campus area of the institute is 2.57 acres and is an AICTE-approved institution. The learning environment within the campus is very favorable, with a total strength of 962 students and faculty of 35. VESP offers six different courses of diploma with different specializations which cater to the differing interest levels of students regarding the field of engineering. 

The institute strives to provide excellent facilities to advance the learning experience of its students. The laboratories and workshops in VESP are well-equipped and are regularly updated according to the changing industry standards. The library can accommodate 150 students and is well-stocked with a large number of technical books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials. The sports lovers in the college have a playground with football, cricket, basketball, and volleyball facilities, together with a 200-metre track for athletics events. The institute also considers making students feel comfortable with the provision of separate hostels for boys and girls. The VESP has developed excellent IT infrastructure for digital learning needs. It also has a sufficiently spacious canteen along with an auditorium for events and seminars. 

VESP offers six full-time diploma courses in engineering, all of three years' duration. They have specialisations in departments like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Automation and Robotics. All the courses together have an approved intake capacity of 420 seats, thereby offering wide scope to aspiring engineers.
