VPR College of Education, Kamalapuram Admission Process

VPR College of Education, Kamalapuram, begins its journey of imparting teacher education in Andhra Pradesh, the college has made a name for itself over the years. The college offers specified courses in education such as B.Ed. and D.Ed., keeping an eye on the development of teachers of tomorrow with a broad-based curriculum. The admissions into VPR College of Education take place through state-level entrance examinations, which ensure a fair and competitive collection of candidates. For B.Ed courses, admissions were being made through Ed.CET (Education Common Entrance Test), which is organized by the Andhra Pradesh Government. In the same way, for D.Ed., 80% of seats (50 seats) are allocated through centralized counseling. The other 20% (10 seats) are allotted for filling by the management. Eligibility varies according to the programs. The applicants of the B.Ed. program should have finished their bachelor's degree in the respective subject. The candidates of the D.Ed. program should have finished their intermediate education. 

Application Process

The steps included for admission into VPR College of Education, Kamalapuram, are:

1. Entrance Examination

  • Register and appear for the entrance test conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for B.Ed.: Ed.CET.
  • Register and appear for the entrance test conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for D.Ed.: DEECET.

2. Result Declaration: Wait for the declaration of the results and merit list of the entrance examination.

3. Registration for Counseling: The qualified candidates must register in the centralized counseling process being conducted by the respective examination authorities.

4. Document Verification: Report to the Document Verification Center for verification along with all the necessary documents, including educational certificates, entrance exam scorecard, etc., as per government norms.

5. Seat Allotment: mDepending on the merit and choices, seats will be allotted during the counseling process.

6. Reporting to the College: The person to whom a seat has been allotted at VPR College of Education will have to report with all original documents and with the allotment letter to the college within the specified time limit.

7. Confirmation of Admission: Complete admission formalities such as fee payment and submission of documents at the college.

For management quota seats: The college must be contacted directly after qualifying in the respective entrance examinations (Ed.CET for B.Ed. and DEECET for D.Ed.). - Submission of documentation and completion of admission processes would depend on the instructions given by the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. program is a full-time professional program offered by VPR College of Education for two years and it has an intake of students totaling to 100. Admission for this program is conducted on the basis of Ed.CET conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, it is mandatory for candidates to possess a bachelor's degree to fulfill the requirements for the eligibility of taking Ed.CET. Based on Ed.CET merit, centralized counseling fills 70% of the total seats (100 seats). Following that, the reservation rules will be applied. The remaining 25% (25 seats) are filled by the management from Ed.CET qualified candidates.

D.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.Ed. program is two years duration full time and has 50 seats. Admissions into this course will also be done on the basis of the DEECET (Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test). The minimum qualification required for applying for DEECET is passing the intermediate course in the respective concerned subjects. The admission procedure gives 80% of seats (50 seats) to centralized counseling on the basis of DEECET merit, and management fills 20% (10 seats) from qualified DEECET candidates.
