Yeaqub Ali B.Ed. College is a co-educational institution. The college is specialized in teacher education programs and is accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).  The admission process at Yeaqub Ali B.Ed. College is merit-based, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance tests. The college follows the admission policies laid down by the state government of West Bengal and its affiliated university.

The eligibility criteria for admission differ from one course to another. For B.Ed., candidates are required to complete their bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board shall be eligible for the D.El.Ed. course.

3. Document submission: All required documents along with the application form submitted by candidates would include,

• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations that are 10+2 for D.El.Ed. and a bachelor's degree for B.Ed.

• Caste certificate if it applies

4. Entrance Examination: Based on state government's directive, entrance examinations will be a mandatory process which needs to be faced by applicants. The exam syllabus along with pattern for entrance will be conveyed by colleges or conducting agency.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. The program at Yeaqub Ali B.Ed. College is a two-year full-time course with an approved intake of 100 students per year. Admission to the B.Ed. program is made strictly on merit, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college follows the admission policies set by the state government of West Bengal and the affiliated university. Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized university to qualify for the B.Ed. program.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed. program is also of two-year full-time duration with an approved intake of 100 students annually. In the D.El.Ed. program, admission is on merit basis, and the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination are considered. The procedure for admission of students in the program is placed according to the rules and regulations decided by the state government or UT administration. The basic eligibility for admission in D.El.Ed. shall be a candidate who has passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
