At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Tech, M.Sc. and one post-graduate diploma programme for ZHCET Aligarh PG Admissions. For M.Tech admissions, students are required to appear for GATE. If any students who have not appeared for GATE need to sit for a departmental test for PG admission. Admission to Advanced PG Diploma in Nanotechnology is offered based on the student’s performance in the qualifying examination and departmental test. The total merit will be calculated considering the following factors: performance in the written test(80 marks) and presentation/interview (20 marks).
It is to be noted that students must obtain a minimum of 50%marks in the written test to appear for the interview.
Candidates who qualify NET/JRF or GATE (only for science stream) through the test organised by UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICMR/ICAR/IITs or any other recognised institution need not appear for the written test as they will be deemed to have obtained 50% marks. These candidates will have the choice to appear for the written test to improve.
The final selection of candidates is made based on the performance in the written test, presentation cum interview, document verification and payment of ZHCET Aligarh fees.

And also it obtained ranked 1 in terms of best college value for money by Times of India recently College infrastructure is 10 out of 10 Placement I suggest it depends on you. You also do preperation for government exams also college give you all the facilities inside the campus And also having a huge campus around 1200 acres approx Overall it is 4 out 5
College has a very good infrastructure having well-equipped labs, the state of the art laboratories, beautiful campus of the institution and its accredited B. Tech programme by Department of Electrical Engineering.

Both HBTU, Kanpur and ZHCET, Aligarh, are equally good! The infrastructure of both includes huge libraries, laboratories, cafeteria, Wi-Fi enabled campus, gym, but HBTU has music and dance rooms in addition!
The placement in HBTU is quite good when compared to that of ZHCET. The Median Salary in the former is Rs. 6.4 lakhs/year and the Highest Salary is Rs. 60 lakhs/year. The Median Salary in the latter is Rs. 3.2 lakhs/year and the Highest Salary is Rs. 10.2 lakhs/year!

Zarf, which was first held in the year 2011, is the annual college fest of Zakir Hussain College Of Engineering and Technology which comes under Aligarh Muslim University stationed at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh and is seen as the biggest fest of the Aligarh Muslim university.It is normally held every year in the month of February and March.
