Yes, you can study Marine Engineering. Also, you are eligible to study this course if you have completed 10+2 education in Science stream from a recognised Board where you have studied studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and have secured a minimum aggregate of 55 percentage. For the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) the Academic Requirement is that the candidate Should have qualified 12th standard (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized central or state board. Candidates should have scored minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.  At least 50% marks have to be secured in English.

IMU CET 2021 known as Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test will be conducted by Indian Maritime University.

IMU CET 2021 application forms are expected to be released in the first week of April 2021. The admit card will be available from the 3rd week of May 2021 and the IMU CET 2021 examination is expected to be held in the 1st week of June 2021. The councelling will start soon after the declaration of the result.

The eligibility criteria for IMU CET says that the candidates must have 60% marks in PCM and minimum 50% marks in English subjects.So yes you are eligible for IMU CET exam.Prepare well for the exam as the exam is little bit competitive and the questions are of moderate level.

*As you know  NIOS is a recognized board So the  candidates who qualify from this board are considered eligible for admission in Indian Maritime University,

* Because the  basic eligibility criteria for IMU CET is has given below :-

* The qualification must be Pass/ appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM), with not less than 60% marks in PCM.

* Previously has we have seen there were many fraud activities reported by this board  so they are very strict regarding documents. You have to provide all documents which are  provided by NIOS so that to avoid any issues .
