Greetings,
As far as appearing for the actual IMU CET exam for undergraduate courses I see no reason as to why your son would be ineligible.
Given the Covid-19 situation and the fact that higher education is definitely going to suffer some setbacks in the coming session of 2020-2021, the exam's tentative dates in June 2021 can very easily be postponed if the circumstances so demand.
Just make sure that your son covers all the other eligibility requirements by next year (being 17 years of age and passing PCM [for B.tech] with minimum 60% marks for general category)
Anxiety and lack of surety is understandable and completely normal in these trying times but please remember that it is the same for every student so any decision regarding exams and careers that the universities or governments make will mostly ever be in favor of the students.
Best of luck to your son and if you have any more queries then feel free to post them. Good day!

Hello ,
Hope you're doing well.
Indian maritime university is a centralised university located in Chennai. It offers a full time postgraduate programme in management to the students. Eligibility for the same is graduation with at least 50% aggregate. However, the placements are not upto the mark here. The students are provided excellent internships though, in the leading ports of our country. But, for placements, a few (2-3) companies visit the campus and the package is not too high.
