Until 2019 if you score atleast 92 marks out of 360 in jee main ,you can expect atleast production engineering branch, but due to tremendous decrease in cutoff marks of jee main 2017 i.e 100 marks in 2016 to 81 marks in 2017,students scoring 45 marks out of 360 got production branch and who got 95 or 96 (eg:- myself) got Electrical and mechanical branch……so if u aim to get a seat in VSSUT….score atleast above 100 to get a better branch as the cutoff change ridiculously everyyear.

For choice filling for the ojee counselling is that if you want your preffered branch such as CSE, then apply all colleges of CSE first then aplly the rest.

The Government colleges of Odisha are:-

• CET, BBSR
• VSSUT, Burla
• IGIT, Saranga
• GEC, Bhawanipatna
• GEC, Keonjhar
• SUIIT,Burla.

According to the above sequence you have to apply for the colleges. Such as CSE then you will apply CSE in CET then VSSUT then accordingly. After CSE is over then apply all the branches of all the colleges accordingly.
