No entrance test conducted to get admission into B.A ( english ). Minimum eligibility is to get 50 % in 12 std. Selection will be done based on merit list formed. Merit list will be made using 12 std marks.

Please kindly mention in your question that which St. Xavier's College you need information about. The one in Mumbai or Kolkata or Ranchi or Goa or Burdwan or Ahmedabad or someplace else?

Also, 71% score for a general candidate is not very good considering you want to get into St. Xavier's College. Their cutoffs are usually high and vary according to the subject of study. Kindly mention the subject that you would want to study at this particular college.

St. Xaviers's College- Augonomous, Mumbai hasn't mentioned the minimum marks required for taking admission in its B.Com programme. But according to the Admission policy, 'Admission of students into the Autonomous Degree Courses will be on the basis of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or its equivalent, for both the Undergraduate (UG) and the Postgraduate (PG) courses, unless specified otherwise.' It means the your chance of getting admission in programme will depend on how better you have fared in your board exam in comparison to other candidates and how you performed in interview with the Vice Principal of the Commerce section or his representative as admission to B.Com is given through the College Office (Commerce Section), by filling up and submitting a form, and through an interview with the Vice Principal of the Commerce section or his representative. St. Xavier’s entrance test is for those students who are interested in gaining admissions in BMS and BMM programmes at St. Xavier’s College. Application forms of the exam will be released tentatively on 1 May, 2019. Exam is expected to be conducted on 2 June, 2019.
