Hi Aspirant,
If you are alloted seat in UPSEE first round then ypu have to exercise options like FREEZE,FLOAT Or FREEZE WITH UPGRADE and FREEZE WITHOUT UPGRADE.If you select freeze option without taking admission in the specific college, your provisional letter too generated and you do not take admission in the college then the seat allotted to you will be cancelled and the registration fee submitted by you will not be refunded in any case and the request to refund will also not be entertained by the University.
If you do not like the college and want upgradation you should always go for FREEZE WITH UPGRADATION.Once it is frozen you don't have any control over your seat acceptance fee.
All the best!
Hey ! You need to pay the fee once you have been offered the seat in any of the Institutes.(IIT's, NIT's, IIIT's, GFTI's) . Candidates who participated have registered and locked their choices are allotted seats according to their rank, preferences, category and availability of seats. The seat acceptance fee in then paid if you have been allotted a seat and wish to accept it. Candidates will have to also download JoSAA 2019 provisional seat allotment letter. The acceptance fee is around, 35,000 (General candidates) or Rs. 15,000 (SC/ST/Gen-PwD/OBC-NCL-PwD/SC-PwD or ST-PWD ).You just need to pay the fee once you accept the seat. So according to your query, to be eligible for 2nd round of counselling there is no such requirement. Do check the below link for more info. https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-counselling Hope this helps All the best !
Hey!
If you get college in the 1 round of counselling then sorry but you may not have any choice to edit your college preference or remove the colleges . But assume you may get one of the college then in the second round you get the college of the above preference of the alloted one. Now you don't get the college below your allotment one. So be sure, here it is not needed to remove below choices because they are automatically eliminated after you get one. Now only the colleges above the alloted college are left for the further counselling. And there is not editing option once you locked your choices.
Hope this may help you.
