in round 1 of upsee councelling 2020 i have not got any college .then what i have to do to go to round 2 ?? i have to pay fees of seat confirmation or not??

Swarnabha Das 27th Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant

First of all I am explaining you in short the rule of choice  filling.During choice filling you can put any no of choices there and sort them according to your facvourable interest . In every round you will be allotted only one department of one college . According to your sorted choice list the top most available choice with vacant seats will be given to you . If you are happy with that then you lock that and get admission . Otherwise you upgrade( slide or float) If any of the preceding choice's  seat  becomes vacant then you will get than otherwise you get the allotted seat given to you from the previous round. But under any circumstances you can't get the receding choices after you are allotted a particular option. That's how it works. So choice filling and seat allotment is very vital.

So if you don't get anything new ollege or department in round 2 then you will get the seat of round 1. As you have got nothing in round 2 then you must upgrade.  After you get a seat allotment you should pay fee of confirmation.

Best Wishes.

What happens to the floating fees we pay during UPSEE/JoSAA counseling?

ARYAN SAGAR 27th Oct, 2020

Dear student,

Float means - you have accepted the seat but you want a higher preference branch in other institutes in further counselling rounds. If you got allotted a higher or upgraded seat then you can take it, and your previously alloted seat will be forfeited.

But if you do not get upgraded seat in further rounds then your previously alloted seat will remain with you.

Now if you have paid seat acceptance fees one time then you don't have to pay once again the seat acceptance fees after you get a higher upgraded branch.

So, this seat acceptance fees is one time only and if your payment is done then there is no worry for making another payment for a higher preference or upgraded branch.

Anjali Kumari 27th Oct, 2020
Hii buddy,
Yes, ofcourse you can go for 2 round councling but yes if you chose college in 2nd round then you can't  get refund which you have paid in 1st round.
And also if you dont want to choose the college in 2nd round you can definitely go for 1st round of college which you have locked.

Thank you!!!

can I rearrange my choice in upsee counseling for round 2.

Harsh Chandravanshi 27th Oct, 2020

Hi Aspirant!

According to official guidelines, only the fresh candidate have a right to fill their choice.Mean to say the students who again pay the new fees or firstly taking participation in round 2 can fill their college choice.Hence as you already participated in round 1 you can not rearrange your choices.

I hope it helps.

after round1 seat allotment of upsee, where can I get the cut off list of colleges of round 1?

ARYAN SAGAR 27th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

As the upsee seat allotment round 1 is done, but it's not completely over. The round 1 counselling process will continue till 29th october.
Now, after every round councelling is fully furnished thee cutoff ranks will be released.
Because till 29th october, the payment of seat confirmation will take place.

And after 29th october there are high chances that the cutoff ranks will be declared for round 1.

I get the first choice in upsee counseling . can I choose float option.

ARYAN SAGAR 27th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

First of all congratulations on seat allotment in upsee.
Now if you are not satisfied with your branch in current institute, then definitely you can opt for float or use float option.

Float - It means that you have accepted the seat but you want a higher preference branch in other institutes in further rounds. If you got any higher preference branch in further rounds then you will accept it and your previously alloted seat will get cancelled. Otherwise if you not get any higher preference seat, then your previously alloted seat will remain with you.
