Course
Hello,
No, this will not be considered a gap year.
Since you graduated from Delhi University in 2024 and simultaneously enrolled in a one-year online diploma course with IGNOU (June 2024 – July 2025), you were engaged in academic learning during that period. Even though the course is online, it is recognized by a central university (IGNOU), and this counts as an educational activity—not a break in your academic timeline.
So, when you apply for PG in MA English from DU, this period will be seen as a continuous academic engagement, not a gap year. Just be sure to mention your IGNOU diploma enrollment in your application or CV, if required.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Hello there,
Among B.Tech courses at SNU Chennai—CSE (IoT), CSE (AI & Data Science), and CSE (Cyber Security)—here is a comparison based on placements and long-term future scope:
B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security): Cyber security is critical as digital threats grow. Demand for experts will remain strong for decades, making it a stable, high-growth field with good placements.
B.Tech CSE (AI & Data Science): AI and data science are rapidly evolving fields with vast applications. This area offers excellent placements and is expected to have strong relevance and growth over the next 40-50 years.
B.Tech CSE (IoT): IoT is growing with connected devices expanding in homes, industries, and cities. While promising, IoT is often combined with AI and security skills for greater impact.
Summary:
For highest future scope and placements, AI & Data Science is currently the most versatile and in-demand.
Cyber Security is critical for protecting data and infrastructure and will continue to grow.
IoT has good potential but may be more niche and dependent on integration with AI and security.
Choosing AI & Data Science or Cyber Security would provide strong career prospects over decades.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Dear Sadaf,
Yes I mean Amity University (especially Noida campus) offers decent LLB placements of Rs 5-6 LPA and top firms like Deloitte and Khaitan & Co recruiting.
Kolkata campus has lower placements. Good for private law college, but NLUs are better.
Ok then BEST OF LUCK!!!
Yes, you can get admission to M.Tech at CBIT without a GATE score by qualifying through TSPGECET.
You must have a B.Tech or equivalent degree in a related field.
If you have a valid TSPGECET rank, you can apply under the regular counseling process (Category A).
If you do not have a TSPGECET rank, you may apply under Category B (management quota), where admission is based on your qualifying degree marks and seat availability.
M.Tech specializations at CBIT include Computer Science Engineering, Computer Networks and Information Security, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Information Technology.
Cutoff ranks for TSPGECET vary every year depending on competition and seats.
Category B admissions do not have a fixed cutoff; selection depends on merit and seat availability.
For exact cutoffs and seat details, you need to check with CBIT or the Telangana State Council of Higher Education during the admission process.
BVRIT Narsapur does not have a specific B.Tech course in Cyber Security. However, it offers B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. This program includes topics related to data security and can provide a good foundation for a career in Cyber Security.
You can also choose electives and projects related to Cyber Security during this course. Additionally, pursuing certifications and internships in Cyber Security will help strengthen your skills in this field.
So, while there is no direct Cyber Security B.Tech course at BVRIT Narsapur, the CSE program with AI and Data Science specialization is a relevant option.
