What I do first ? Preparation for gate or for UPSC/MPSC ?

Apoorva Student Expert 3rd Sep, 2019

Hello dear student,

See anybody cannot just vaguely tell you what you you do right now. It depends upon your will and on your Goal what you exactly want to achieve in life and what is your motto . Preparing for gate means you want to do mtech etc while preparing for upsc like huge exam means you are ready and prepared for the job. Both are very different from one another. So kindly think once again and think until it clicks you . Because you know your exact situation than anybody else.

I hope this was helpful

Best wishes

Is college engineering level studies enough to crack Gate exam in Instrumentation engineering?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 3rd Sep, 2019
Yes for sure,
Subjects are same and concepts are static. So yes you can. College studies means how much you have studied. Being an engineer under graduate no one will  give you end to end learning. For that you can follow nptel. There you will get everything you want for free. That much will be sufficient for you. And for the preparation part solve numericals and previous year papers.
Hope it helps!

How to prepare for the logical reasoning section for the Cat exam and other MBA exams. How much time should i give to all sections.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning needs to be practised as much as possible. Comparison of data, Data Analysis, taking clues, interpreting missing data, coming to conclusions and making future projections will be covered under this Category. The questions here are interlinked and so if you get one formula correct, cracking the next few questions will be easy. So it's important to memorise and practise formulae. You should cover topics like Data tables, Data Charts, Bar Diagrams, Pie Charts, Graphs, Data Comparison and Analysis.

Preparation tips:

As this is the most tricky section, this needs a lot of practise. Solve as many sample papers as possible to get the hang of the section. Make notes when required. Regular practise can help you understand and solve the questions easily as time goes on.

Overall, once you know the syllabus, it's easier from there on.Go through the previous papers to analyse and prepare a comprehensive plan and set priorities according to the importance of different topics across sections. Customise your own study plan based on your strengths and weaknesses. Gauge your preparation from time to time by taking mock tests. Solve questions to check your levels of preparation but not to set any targets. Remember, its ok to have cheat days and relax. But make sure you have a plan and stick to it for the next few months

I want to prepare for jee main + advanced. I want to do mechanics questions .its my weak point.Which book best-hc Verma or arihant DC pandey

Sriya Bose Student Expert 1st Sep, 2019
Hello Aspirant!
It is better that you begin with DC Pandey for Mechanics if it is your weak point. Because the concepts are explained in a very easy and lucid manner in DC Pandey, as well as, solution for every question is provided. Once you have formed a grip over Mechanics, you can move on to HC Verma for concepts of higher order. Beginning rightaway with HC Verma isn't  a good idea as it consists of very high  order thinking skills' questions, which can badly confuse a student who is already weak in Mechanics.

I have to start my jee preparation.but I dont where to start and how to start? Can anyone help me with ur ideas?

Sriya Bose Student Expert 1st Sep, 2019
Hello Aspirant!

Go according to the order of the contents of the book. Ofcourse, start with class 11th syllabus. Do the chapters of each subject, in the same order as given in the book. After completion of each chapter, solve lots of MCQs from that chapter. Use competition orientated books for this purpose, like those of Arihant Publications.
